Essential Oils
Bergamot: Uplifting, positive, cheerful, happy oil. Warming on a cold winters day. Useful in recovery in convalescence, useful for anxiety.
Black Pepper: A stimulating, warming oil that aids stamina and rejuvenates the body from aches and pains.
Elemi: Highly antiseptic, traditional uses for the skin are to rejuvenate, for your emotion state to relieve exhaustion and stress, and for physical properties it is used to heal skin infections.
Eucalyptus: Known for its anti-viral and anti-bacterial healing properties. Also used to eased congestion.
Geranium Rose: An aromatic perennial with light, lemon-fresh, green herbal top notes and soft, rosy, sweet floral undertones. The essential oil is traditionally used to balance the skin.
Grapefruit: Grapefruit is uplifting, reviving, energising, refreshing and the perfect oil when you want to give your circulation a boost and revive your body and mind.
Hyssop: An intense, sweet, woody, camphorous top note oil with warm and spicy herbal undertones. Used on the skin to traditionally heal bruises, and relieve fatigue and exhaustion. Avoid hyssop if suffering with high blood pressure or epilepsy.
Lavender: Lavender is one of the most popular essential oils and is widely used in aromatherapy for its calming, relaxing and skin-soothing properties.
Lime: Sharp and bitter sweet. The expressed oil gives a clean and fresh fragrance with green top notes and citrus undertones. Lime is disinfecting and a digestive stimulant.
Neroli: An uplifting pick me up, perfume like and aromatic Neroli is a God of oils. It is traditionally used to treat scars and stretch marks.
Nutmeg: A penetrating oil with sweet campherous like top notes and undertones of eucalyptus, light and spicy, deep and warm with musky undertones it is a very rounded oil with a complete scent. It is also used as an aphrodisiac.
Peppermint: The unmistakable scent of peppermint is fresh and has cooling effects as a result of the high menthone levels naturally found in the oil.
Petitgrain: Fresh and uplifting, Petitgrain oil is obtained from the orange tree. Its uses include toning, muscle relaxing and relieving tensions.
Rosemary: Traditionally used to relieve blocked nose, headache and congestion.
Sandalwood Amyris or West Indian Sandalwood: Sandalwood Amyris is a substitute to East Indian Sandalwood, though not having the striking characteristic scent of East Indian Sandalwood, it does posses the same therapeutic properties and when used in aromatherapy is an ethical substitute without the same environmental costs of East Indian
Sandalwood. Its traditional use is for calming, relaxing and de-stressing.
Sweet Orange: Zesty, recoginisable, fresh and refreshing scent of Orange. The happy oil is traditionally used to boost circulation and detoxify the skin.
Tea Tree: The unmistakable scent of Tea Tree, antiseptic, anti fungal, antibacterial, cleansing and an essential for teenage skin.
Ylang Ylang: The small yellow flowers deliver an evocative and heady scent, characteristic of orchids, relaxing, spa like, perfect for headaches and traditionally used as an aphrodisiac. Ylang Ylang is a emmenagogue which means it can stimulate or increase menstrual flow.
As with all essential oils, they are not recommended for use during pregnancy.

Carrier Oils
Apricot Kernel: Apricot Kernel Oil is rich in essential fatty acids which are required by our skin to remain healthy and supple. With its light colour, light odour and the high content of oleic acid, this oil is more easily absorbed into the skin compared to other oils.
Coconut: A lovely light skin oil which can soothe the skin without blocking the pores.
Jojoba: Jojoba is one of the most important oils in aromatherapy skin care use. Unlike many other oils, Jojoba is chemically very similar to human sebum.
Sweet Almond: It is softening, revitalising and nourishing to the skin.
As with all nut based carrier oils, always use with caution for people with nut allergies.
Butters
Cocoa Butter (Unrefined): Cocoa Butter Organic and Unrefined is rich in emollient moisturising properties, rejuvenating for the skin and naturally rich in antioxidants. The unrefined nature of this product gives a wonderful chocolate scent.
Shea Butter: Shea butter has an excellent ability to penetrate the skin without clogging pores, allowing the skin to breathe.
Avoid products with these butters if you have a tree nut allergy.
