let's start with the name...
Picking a name for the business was a tricky one as we didn't want the name to limit us to a single product. We're also terrible at picking names. Our son didn't have a name until a few days before his birth had to be registered and our dogs names were eventually whittled down from a list, over weeks of deliberation.
The names we chose for our dogs were Odie and Fenn. Yep, we named our business after our dogs.
We're a family business with me, Nic, being the one that works on the website, comes up with product ideas, makes the products, does all the promotion and pretty much everything else! My husband, Dave, is the reason this business started and he is my product tester, well one of them. Our son is also one of the product testers with very honest feedback and opinions on my ideas. There is also a small group of trusted others that I ask to test my ideas and give feedback on.
Going back to Dave being the reason this business started. He loves a bath so at Christmas or on his birthday I would get him a bath bomb, or would try anyway. The problem I found was that most bath bombs are floral or had 'bits' in them. A lot would have glitters and he does not want to sparkle when he gets out of the bath! I decided I'd have a go at making my own, aimed at him and what he would want from a bath, or what I think he should want from a bath.
With a few products made and enjoyed, Ode and Fenn was born.
We have a small range of products, each carefully crafted and handmade. We're based in Mid Sussex and have been lucky enough to have met and worked with some wonderful other local crafters and businesses.
